Can we buy logs for the firepits?

You certainly can and we have an ‘Honesty Box’ so these are available to buy 24hrs a day.

Are dogs allowed?

I’m afraid that as our retreats need to cater for all needs, dogs are not allowed for everyone’s benefit.

What time is check in and check out?

Check in is after 3pm and we ask that you check out before 10am.

Where are the nearest shops?

Bedale is 6 miles away and Ripon is 7 miles away – with plenty of ships and amenities. We do sell some essentials on site too.

Do we need to bring bedding and towels?

Bedding is provided but please bring towels with you..

Will we have our own cooking facilities?

Our retreats include catering and Chestnut Lodge does have its own fully functioning kitchen. Please get in touch with www.yorkshiredalesbushcraft.co.uk for any dietary requirements.

What ELSE can you do on site?

As a 300-acre Estate, we have so much for you to do on-site outside the remits of the bushcraft programme. Whether you’d like to spend your days in the Swing Park, Outdoor Gym, Woodland Play Kingdom with wooden castle, roaming the woods, or visiting the Hebridean Pub after a long walk, you’ll have plenty to do.

Yorkshire Dales Bushcraft who host the event are responsible for the cancellations and refunds policy, please check their site for details.
